The William & Joseph Gallery
The William&Joseph Gallery is celebrating over a decade of art! We opened in June 2001, on Royal Street in the French Quarter, with crates still leaning against the walls, I hung the gallery sign and opened for business - a dream come true! It is still a happy dream, in this beautiful space in Santa Fe - Canyon Road is such a special place, dubbed one of the "Ten Best" streets in America - and I am honored to be a part of this amazing community.

I read once that the definition of 'great art' was art that you didn't forget. When I opened The William & Joseph Gallery (named after my brothers and grandfather) my goal was to create a gallery of living artists that were unforgettable - showcasing art work that people would love and remember. One artist I know made a simple, yet profound statement when, as we looked at work from potential artists asked "Why would you paint that?" and I thought to myself "What a great question." And it made me believe, more than ever, that I want to show more than just pretty pictures. On my walls you will find beautifully constructed encaustic works, layer upon layer of bees wax in glorious colors, and vibrant paintings of color theory, sweeping abstracts and surrealist trees. Another artist creates poetic vessels, incorporating india ink onto the surface with paintings of flowers and men in suits - a quirky homage to the working man. A new gallery feature is our dedicated sculpture garden, featuring DeBusk and his family of "Fat Happies", totems by Brian Keith Scott and large mixed media 'nests' by Lichtenhan.

Our stable of 40+ artists represents an array of mediums, including glass, paintings, encaustic, mixed media and metal sculpture. Color and originality play a vital role in this gallery - we strive to show the best of the best, and our select group of artists is recognized professionally for their outstanding contributions to the arts and these works are in notable collections worldwide. We are also a gallery that ‘gives back’, we are very involved in our community and support the Arts in our public schools and the artists are asked to donate time and art for special projects. The William&Joseph Gallery views ‘art’ as not only an aesthetic, but a way of life . It is an eclectic collection - all handmade, one of a kind, provoking and precious.

So enjoy your visit to my website, or to my gallery space on Canyon Road, and know that you will see something special here.

Thank you for visiting!
